Who we are

Alder Construction, established in 1980 by James Alder, originated from his passion for fine woodworking and construction. James honed his skills building cabinets in high school, studying architecture in college, and constructing adobe homes in New Mexico. Transforming his love for craftsmanship into a sought-after construction company, James now passes on this legacy to his son, Joshua Alder. Joining Alder Construction in 2001, Joshua ascended to the position of vice president in 2013.

Alder Construction has left its mark on notable projects in Texas, ranging from the Koala Bear exhibit and bird aviaries at the San Antonio Zoo to a stunning 4000 sqft straw bale house on the Little Blanco Farm. The company handles diverse projects, including small repairs, bathroom and kitchen remodeling, room additions, complete home renovations, and new constructions. Their core focus is on delivering quality craftsmanship and exceptional personal service. Alder Construction believes in building lasting relationships with clients as the cornerstone of effective marketing. This principle has yielded enduring connections and a thriving business.

Navigating the highs and lows of high-end remodeling, Alder Construction has assembled a team of top craftsmen dedicated to realizing clients' dreams and surpassing expectations.
